padron 2000 natural
So at the request of someone on our facebook page i decided to stop by a local shop and grab a few Nicaraguan cigars to do some reviews on. This is the first Padron i have smoked in a while and i cant say that it was anything different from what i remember.
As you can see nice oily sheen to the wrapper color. Not too veiny over all a very nice appearance and basically what you expect when you think of a Padron. Clipped the cap and lit it up and the immediate Padron woodiness and spice kicks in. This particular cigar was a bit young and a little too harsh to nose smoke which was a little disappointing because i really think that cigars aren’t able to fully give you the entire experience if you aren’t able to nose the cigar at least some of the puffs. The nose was just entirely too sharp and harsh to continue to do it more than once or twice.
It also didn’t have a terribly sharp burn which was a little less disappointing seeing as how it was humid as could be out side and i kind of assumed that this cigar might have a little difficulty since i did just buy it from a cigar shop. It seems like most cigar shops i Have been to think that 70% is the proper humidity for smoking but i don’t really agree id prefer it down closer to 65 just seems to smoke a but better and with a dryer cigar you seem to get less plugs.
as you can see the burn issues continued to the end it was everything i expected as far as Padron goes. A nice spicy, but very a pleasant after taste and an all around enjoyable cigar. on a scale of 100 id give this a solid 90 would have been better with a little more age so that i could have nosed it a bit more.
