Wrapper-Nicaraguan Habano Criollio
Binder-Olor Dominican Republic
Filler- Nicaraguan and Dominican
So i decided to smoke another domestic cigar this evening mostly cause i was intrigued by this cigar. Seems this cigar doesn’t have a large manufacturer backing like so many new cigars coming out on to the market these days, which is nice seems to me a lot of cigars put out by the bigger companies all end up having a similar flavor profile, so its kinda nice that there are some smaller boutique brands coming out of the wood work and making good cigars. So i will say there is a lot of kitchyness to this cigar i mean its got a pigtail, its got a shaggy foot, and unfortunately doesn’t come in a small ring gauge. Its got a nice band on it not to flash or assuming. the wrapper is quite nice no prominent veins and no sun spots that seem to be common any more on criollio wrappers. so I clipped the silly looking pig tail lit this cigar up and immediately I am surprised by this cigar. It is quite smooth with a nice leathery cramyness to it. i figure that because of the shaggy foot that this cigar would get harsher as i get past the overlap of the wraper, I was wrong. This cigar is nice mild with little to no burn when blowing it out the nose. Its actually got a very nice old tobacco taste to it on the palette. The only real drawback to the cigar might be that the finish is very very short, i mean when the smoke is out of your mouth the taste is all but gone. This cigar has a great burn to it, its a big enough ring gauge that its not getting hot, its just a very nice cigar overall.
