Another night another J.C. Newman cigar, today its The El Baton which they were apparently referring to a police baton cause this thing beats the heck out of you. I smoked this thing half expecting a repeat performance of the brickhouse. Wow was i way off on that prediction. After cutting this fairly dark firm cigar i did a test draw, not a lot of distinguishable flavors but over all very pleasant. I proceeded to put flame to it and was immediately beaten like it was Brock Lesnar and i was some dude that just looked at his wife funny. To say this cigar was strong would be to say that Oprah has a few dollars in her bank account, this thing is possibly too strong. While strong as a mule kick to the throat this cigar does almost have some redeeming qualities with its kind of burnt wood flavors. no chocolate no creaminess just hell fire and brimstone. All in all id say this cigar is somewhere between trying to smoke a campfire and snorting hot sauce.
